South Africa · Registration Tracker
Registration insights
See where registrations get held up, for how long, and with what outcome. The Registration Tracker builds this picture from members' own applications, as grouped figures with no names.
What the Tracker answers
Six questions about registering in South Africa.
- 01
Where are applications blocked?
Which official stage holds applications up, and where they wait longest.
- 02
How long does it take, against the statutory timeframe?
How long applications stay open compared with the time the law allows.
- 03
What are the outcomes, by type of application?
How each kind of registration application ends: registered, refused, withdrawn or still open.
- 04
Which barriers keep coming back?
The difficulties members report again and again, grouped into plain themes.
- 05
Does the pathway fit the product?
Whether members report that the registration route open to them suits what they make.
- 06
How strong is the evidence?
How much of the registration process the evidence covers, so every figure is read with its limits in view.
About these figures
Grouped and anonymous. Never names.
Only grouped figures are ever published. Names, products, references and free text are never shown to the public.
Figures come from members' registration updates, which the alliance reviews before they are counted. Each stage is mapped to a common set, and timeframes are shown against the ones South Africa's regulator sets.
The alliance does not approve products or replace the regulator. These figures describe how the registration process is experienced; they say nothing about any product.

Is a registration application of yours under way?
Sharing where it stands helps the alliance build stronger evidence about delays and barriers. Contributing is by invitation, and only grouped figures are ever published, never names.
