About these terms
These terms apply when you use the African Biologicals Alliance (ABA) website. They were published as version 1.0 for the launch of the website; a legal review follows, and any change from that review will be published as a new version, with the earlier versions kept readable. By using the website you accept the version in effect at the time.
What the website is for
The website explains what ABA does and lets you tell ABA you are interested in membership, contact ABA, read about the countries where ABA works, and, if invited, apply for membership. It does not offer products or services for sale.
Information on the website
ABA works to keep the information on the website accurate and current, but it is general information. It is not legal, regulatory, agronomic or investment advice. Check the position for your own situation before you act on it.
Using the forms
When you use a form, give information that is true and that you are entitled to share. Do not use the forms to send unlawful, abusive or misleading content, or to send material that infringes someone else's rights.
A membership application is a request to be considered. Submitting one does not make you a member. Membership is decided by ABA, as described in the application process and in the Code of Conduct.
Membership and the Code of Conduct
Members commit to the Code of Conduct, which is published on this website with its versions. The Code of Conduct, not these terms, governs the conduct of members.
Acceptable use
Do not try to disrupt the website or reach parts of it you are not invited to; do not use automated tools to collect information from it in bulk; and do not try to find out who is behind private applications or requests.
Our content
The text, design, logo and other material on the website belong to ABA or are used with permission. You may read the website and share links to it. Do not copy or republish its material as your own, or use ABA's name or logo in a way that suggests ABA endorses you, without written permission.
Links to other sites
The website may link to other sites. ABA does not control them and is not responsible for what they say or do.
Availability and liability
The website is provided as it is, and may be unavailable or change without notice. As far as the law allows, ABA is not responsible for losses that come from using the website or relying on it. Nothing in these terms limits a right you have under the law that cannot be limited.
Your information
How ABA uses information you share is set out in the Privacy and data use notice. The cookies the site uses are set out in the Cookies notice.
Law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
Changes and contact
When these terms change, a new version is published with its own date. Questions go to info@africanbiologicalsalliance.org.
